Curtis is correct. The most reasonably priced electronic’s for Ice fishing, (that actually WORK), are Vexilars.
The FL-18(http://www.cabelas.com/p-0073825020822a.shtml) is VERY nice but much more expensive than the FL-8 (http://www.fishusa.com/Vexilar.....ck_p.html). I own the FL-8 Genz pac and it works great.
When I first moved to MN I fell in love with Ice Fishing and wanted to get all the appropriate gear. I quickly found that Vexilars are the ONLY way to go. Why? I bought a portable LCD and tried to use that. I learned that common LCD fish finders don’t "update" quick enough to be useful as an ice fishing tool. An expensive mistake!
The most important feature of a Flasher-type electronic is the fact it can shoot through the ice BEFORE you drill your hole. This is an important feature to have!
The only other electronic device that works well for ice fishing is an underwater camera. Aqua View makes a decent one.
