Humminbird Wide Portable Fish Finder bottom reading not showing.?
All other features on my unit work except the bottom reading which shows the bottom structure in gray or black. I took it apart and went through every detail, but could not locate the problem. Anyone with the same problem or fix? Pretty expensive for a compatible unit 9.99. Please help.

I know that this is probably going to sound lame, but, I would check 2 things. 1st – ck the bottom/depth alarm setting as it is adjustable. 2nd – change out the transducer unit to see if maybe the one you have is working properly, or if it is working @ all. Other than that ?
